Prices
View our showreelIn my view some wedding photographers really do over complicate how to arrive at a reasonable income for a professional days work.
Some, are not too dissimilar to a low cost flight with the published price not ending up anywhere what the unsuspecting couple thought that they might be paying when they thought that they had spotted a bargain.
Charging extra for pre ceremony shots; a bit more to photograph the first dance and so on.
Usually dressed up into something like a bronze silver or gold package! Come on!
Pity the poor groom that tells his intended she’s got the bronze and not the gold package.
OK, everyone is on a budget; even the Victoria and David Beckham Wedding would have had one. So I take the view if I can work within your budget I will, as there is something for everyone from hundreds of pounds to thousands. It all comes down to what you are looking for. Not only that, I will advise you on how to get the best out of your budget by maybe buying the parent books later, a Christmas present solved perhaps? If you are having a mid week, lunch time wedding in January, then of course I am going to offer you a better rate than a full midsummer’s day on a Saturday. That is why I have a drop down menu for a budget guide.
I base my charges on the finished product with NO EXTRAS, So if you want a 50 page GraphiStudio book (and who wouldn’t) and you live in my home county of Derbyshire then that’s what you pay for and that includes me, my materials and my second shooter, for as long as it takes to meet your brief, end of.
If I need to travel the UK, or further, then let’s agree some reasonable travel costs. When you add up the total cost of the wedding day, food, drinks, flowers, entertainment, dress, venue costs etc. it is no wonder that the average UK wedding is over £20,000 so recording that special day professionally is a small investment as the photographs will be the only thing left after the wedding day
Everyone deserves a gold package.
